Write and Exec your config files !

Have you ever edited your jampconfig. file directly? You can but don't bother.

You can open it with notepad and edit it directly, and see all the available keys, but my point is this; that is your known config file for the game.

You can make 10 more config files for each version of JK3 they will appear in the approriate folder (pluse) for instance.

Two commands worth gold!

1) write xxx

2) exec xxx

xxx is a file name you give your config file. Once you make a config file this way you will see it in your base folder along with the default jampconfig

Make one for playing duel on base servers, make one for duel on plus servers, make one for staff or any changes you like!

Especially useful for switching from ffa to tffa or to duel! Or switch form single to staff, for ex.

Here's what you do. While in the game, simply get the settings the way you want for a particular save, including skins, controls mapping, binds, saber, colors, skin binds, name binds, and then save all you settings!

Simply think of a file name, for example I have one called "JetDuel" for my Single saber base duel binds, and settings, to save the file I type ''write JetDuel"

That's it! Just the ''write xxx'' command in your console, (xxx being your file name for that config)

To EXECute the file simply type ''exec xxx'', or in my case ''exec JetDuel''

NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS COOL!

You can make a bind to fire off a config file by typing '' bind x "exec JetDuel" "(x being in my case my #3 button)

All my staff settings are bound to my ''-'' key, ex. bind - "exec Jetstaff'', this fires off my staff settings and even sets color and staff saber, binds, etc, for next round, even changes skin, and name. Both my JetDuel and my JetStaff configs have a bind back to the other, so I can switch from my staff and single configs in mid swing if wanted.

You can have several at your fingertips, you could make a whole keyboard of just binds to be able to access by a config bind.

So make some for all your places, or personalties, and access them in the console or by bind.

I have one for tffa, on base servers, one for tffa on plus servers, and I don't have to re assign the dam harpoon ever again! Ffa as well, even an incognito config for my anonymous behavior!!!

I even have one for hosting, when fools come around, I switch to my Kick config, and I can kick anyone by their client number with the numbers on my keyboard, I hit one key for client name/# list and one more and poof, I have kicked again, LOL. Any command you can think of is capable of being set as bind, even spawning and cheat commands, so have fun making your own configs for all your gaming situations.

Note: if you go to a plus servers, you loose binds, then back to base and loose binds, you will need separate config saved for plus and base servers. Because plus config binds don't work in base, you make get an error, ex. ''could not execute JetDuel'' this is because the plus or base server is looking in a different folder.

Note: you will need to use the exec command every time you join a server, even if you used it the last time you were in the game; because the game loads the default jampconfig file when it starts up, not the last exec of you favorite configuration.

name bind '' bind x " bind x "name xxx xxx"
skin bind - ex. jawa bind x "model jawa"
say bind bind x "say xxx xx xx"
execute config file bind x "exec xxx"
write a config file bind x "write xxx"
